Can Napier Truck Tents be used with a tonneau cover?

Yes, certain types of tonneau covers are compatible with our truck tents. Retractable covers work, while folding and hinged covers will need to be removed. Roll-up covers under 6" high can be used with the tent, but covers higher than 6" should be removed.

Can you fit the tent over a truck bed toolbox?

Absolutely! You can place the tent over the toolbox to minimize water entering the space between the box and the tent. Be sure to cover the corners of the toolbox to prevent any ripping of the tent material on sharp edges.

Will the tent work if my truck has a camper shell/cap on it?

Unfortunately, truck tents are not compatible with camper shells/caps. Consider our Napier SUV Tents, which are a better option for vehicles with a shell, as long as the height from the ground to the highest point of the shell window/door is under 80".

Can I drive with the tent set-up in the bed of the truck?

For safety reasons, we do not recommend driving with the tent set up in your truck bed. Doing so could potentially cause personal injury and damage to both the tent and your vehicle.

Can one person set up a Napier Truck Tent by themselves? How long will it take?

Yes, one person can set up the truck tent, although we suggest having assistance during the first set-up. The initial set-up should take around 15 minutes, with subsequent set-ups taking about 10 minutes. Each tent comes with set-up instructions and color-coded poles for easy assembly.
